Just visited this great little museum. It's in a beautiful old building, that's been totally gutted on the inside. The artists are all marginalized people, who had terrible upbringing and many ended up in mental institutions , so it's quit different. Many of the works...More

It's a crazy place. Litteraly and figuratively. Artists with psychic disabilities from all around the world and from different times. You have to go there. Then again, beware, it takes a lot of time, it's bigger than it seems and there's a lot of content....More

Experience different thinking and view art from a different lens and angle. Be open and tolerant !! This place is possibly unique in Europe, do not miss it and confront yourself to a different thinking and art pattern.

Vivid presentation of emotions, states of depression, mental disorders. It's definitely worth visiting to see how those people express their internal fights through art.

The Collection de l'Art Brut is a gem of a place featuring the works of several off-beat artists including the wonderful Henry Darger and James Edward Deeds. Well presented. A compelling place.

A bit out of the way but worth the wander up the hill. My favourite collection in Lausanne. Not muc to recomend the cafe next door but the garden is decent place in the summer for a beer.

Unique art museum, beautiful pieces, fabulous life stories. One needs almost 2 visits as a lot to take in.Close to Beaulieu, no parking so easiest by bus.

I am so glad I spent an afternoon at the museum. I was amazed by the collection of pieces made by, not trained artists, but by people with amazing life stories. Don't miss this if you are in the region.
