A historical square in the very centre of the city, only 7 minutes away from the main railway station by foot. A beautiful medieval church St. Francis is a must to visit. The post and banks offices. Promisingly looking fashion boutiques.

The best time of the year to visit Place Saint-François is definitely around Christmas because of the market. Otherwise there is not a lot to do but it remains a beautiful place.

Visiting Lausanne entails spending half a day or so in this neighborhood. There are shops, malls, and tourist attractions as well well two major bus stops in this place. The cathedral, St Francois, leads you! Do not miss it for the world.

The shops are amazing. The cobble stone streets make it a lovely shopping experience. Living in Switzerland, this was my favorite daily shopping excursion

It is a square in Switzerland which for a visitor from Canada may be more exciting. The church is lovley and the buildings are interesting, it is everyday life for the locals I was just happy to share the same space.

From an urban point of view this is with "place de la Riponne" one of the two worst places in Lausanne. Central building of St-Francois is the church: On the North side you have the pedestrian part which is nice but the south side is...More

I crossed the Place St-Francois square on my way from the station to get to a restaurant. The square seemed nice but alright, but there was nothing more to it. Not a must do in Lausanne.
