This tower is a remnant of the city fortifications in Lausanne. It is a bit away from the major tourist attractions in the old town, but worth a look to see the massive nature of this strong construction.

Used to be aprt of the fortifications but is now simply a tower with a single board of information. Don't seem to be able to get inside or get any further information

The tower dates back to 14th century. It was a part of city walls, destroyed in 18th century. It was used as pig slaughterhouse. There is no possibility to enter the tower, only walking around is possible. Not a must see, but can be visited...More
