The scenery along this train route has to be seen to be believed. Try to imagine a train going through a mix of Yosemite national park and Lake Tahoe, and you have an idea what it's like. It's also quite stunning to watch how steep...More

Swiss rail pass and use of all the trains- gold or otherwise was fantastic. It gave us entrance to numerous attraction, boat rides, and bus rides. It was easy. No lines to wait in. Trains in second class are comfortable. We bought it on line...More

Such a great service. Panoramic views, comfortable train, friendly team at MOB. Don't expect too much at Zweisimmen on a Sunday - Everything closed!!

We went on the Golden Pass train from Interlaken to Montreaux. Of this, Zweisimmen to Montreaux section was in the VIP seats right at the front of the train where the engine driver would normally be. The scenery along that route was typical Swiss countryside...More

We spent five days in Switzerland and took the Swiss rail pass. We boarded the train from Interlakan OST to Luzern with our luggage. Two Eastern European ladies along with a group simultaneously boarded the train and started pushing us as we were with our...More

Clean and on time. Book the panoramic 1st class seats as it's worth the upgrade but make sure that you have reservations so you don't get locked out. If in the morning sit on the right side of the coach or you'll bake in the...More

From Montraux you take a train ride through the Swiss Alps, with beautiful, beautiful vistas on both sides. Magnificent views of Lake Leman and the hotels and millionaires' residences on its edge. Yes, it's obviously tourist-oriented. But with views like this no one's complaining. This...More

The panoramic train was nice, but the the last segment into Montreaux was on a 50-60 year old train with no power and no bathroom. Truly beautiful scenery but not the best amenities. Outside the train station, Montreaux itself has not been maintained as well...More

This one one of our favorite experiences while in Switzerland. We traveled from Interlaken to Montreaux. Also traveled on to Lausanne. We rode in one of the restored historic cars and were so impressed by its beauty and elegance. Though it was a cloudy, misty...More

We'll be travelling from Wengen to Geneva in September. We would like to take the Golden Pass train(s) from Interlaken Ost thru to Geneva, but it's not clear how you do the last section from Lausanne to Geneva. If it's a different train, does it leave from the same station as the arriving Golden Pass train?

HI all, Can I drop off at any station in between the GoldenPass line ? Any stations you would recommend to drop off along : 1. Luzern to Interlaken 2. Interlaken to Montreux That means, I should not reserve any seat. Correct ? I am going there first week of August. Thanks a lot !

Right, stop and hop on where you wish. Real MOB Goldenpass is only from Zweisamen to Montreux. Best places to stop, other than Interlaken. are Gstaad and Saanen. And give Montreux some time to walk along the lake and maybe... More
