We took the golden pass from Lucerne to Montreux and decided to go the castle using our Swiss Travel Pass. The place has amazing details of the medevia times and has been conserved very well. Should go and spend couple of hours

Amazing to see what was built so many years ago. The pamphlet was really helpful and provided a step by step explanation of each room/spot in the chateau. Really enjoyable to follow the numbers and learn more about the history. Well worth a visit and very easy to get to on the bus from Vevey (we had walked from Grandvaux)

Just a quick boatride from Montreux, this is an extraordinary castle to see. In fact so amazing, I actually forgot to take photos once inside. I was that enthralled in the history and beauty of this place. Restored in a unique way to reflect the different time periods that the castle was lived in. The history and legends that come... More

Really interesting walk around the chateau. Lots of information about all sorts of aspects of daily life in medieval times. Usually you just hear about the wars and changes of ownership. It has been renovated but this made for more to see and explore. There were lots of activities for the kids too.

We did the self guided tour. Fascinating visit with stunning views. Our boys loved discovering the nooks and crannies. Can easily be reached by walking, bus, train and ferry.

Very intresting Such a beautiful place to visit. This is really worth a visit. Not expensive, as was given a half price visitors card, which also gave free travel around the area.

This castle is beautiful to look at and explore. It has so many stories to be told and well designed. i wish i had more time to adventure through the castle if i were by myself. With young kids, lots of walking and climbing the stairs easily exhaust their patience and stamina, so our time at the castle was cut... More

Our girls, ages 5 and 7, had so much fun. They enjoyed following along with their maps, jumping off rocks, exploring, and imagining life hundreds of years ago. Highly recommend.

We arrived to the Chateau by chance on a hike and wow what a surprise. The Chateau is literally on the lake (the prisoners felt under water). You can walk around and easily imagine the life 300 years ago. The prison, the kitchen utensils, the food supplies, the hangings.... go
