An outstanding small collection of art within a beautiful villa overlooking Winterthur. Relaxing, quiet and a truly must see experience. The cafe is also well worth a visit offering a small selection of freshly prepared meals, cakes & coffee and wines & spirits.

I had forgotten what a gem "Am Romerholz" is until I again visited with family at the beginning of August. A small but wonderful collection of works from top artists. Afterwards sit in the garden and enjoy refreshments from the cafe. It's a 15-20min walk...More

I walked up from the township after hearing about it at the Oskar Reinhart Museum in Winterthur. Thought the collection was amazing, and increased my appreciation of some wonderful artists. My favorite was a Picasso. Fairly dour security but guess they have to take their...More

This museum has a nice selection of paintings. It is quite small and some may wonder if it is quite worth the price plus the additional museum bus ticket to get there and back. Do check if it has things you really want to see...More

If any, Oskar Reinhart Sammlung "On Romerholz" is a reason enough to visit Winterthur. In the close outskirts of the city (free parking), the Villa hosts an impressive private collection with a number of masterpieces from European painters and sculptors. Gardens are also nice. If...More

A good choice of old painting and of impressionists. Not very large, but you can spend as much time as you like in it if you get the 4 lingual catalog and want to be somewhat exhaustive. The surrounding park and area nice too. Apparently...More

I visit this, formerly private collection, every other year and enjoy the intimate atmosphere of this museum. The panoramic view over the city, the woods behind the museum and elegant restaurant make it unique experience. the appropriate setting for enjoying these masterpieces.

This is a small but beautiful private collection of mostly 20th century art housed in an impressive and complimentary space. On a grey windswept day we were just three of a handful of other guests so it felt like a private viewing.
