This 12th-century cathedral has both historical and architectural significance: Ulrich Zwingli led an important sect of the Reformation from here in the early 1500s, and the cathedral's twin towers serve as perhaps the most recognizable landmarks in modern Zürich.

The Grossmunster is actually "gross" and an unmissable element of Zurich skyline. But the interior do not really add much to what you can appreciate eternally, unless you are interested to climb the tower - less than 200 stairs after all - and enjoy the view fron above. It isnot clear at all why taking photos or films is prohibited.... More

This is one of the 4 main churches in Zurich. This place is beautiful. Since we were short in time so didn't get enough time to go the top to see the city. Went with a guide to the outside and got to know about the history of this church. I would recommend to go these places and have a... More

If you can handle 200 steps up a narrow stone spiral staircase and some rather scary, well-worn wooden ladders, the view from the top is worth it. Only CHF$4. Thanks so much to Grossmunster church for continuing to allow public access - do it before they close it down for safety reasons!

(He also preached from the nearb Fraumunster). Now, in this church you can see some very old paintings which remain on the walls of the church and crypt as well as... More

This church dominates Zurich's skyline and is definitely worth a visit if you are into Gothic churches and buildings. You can climb up the towers to have a fantastic 360 views of Zurich

The only great thing is the view from the tower. CHF4 to climb 160steps up. only 1 way up and down so be paitent when people coming up or going down in a ver narrow spiral steps. You get really fantastic view of Zurich except the top doesn't have a walk around like other church towers except 4 tiny corners... More

Grossmünster is a main church of zurich out of four. It is a land mark of zurich city which located near limmat river. It is possible to enter the church and go to the top by stairs to see the fantastic and nice view of the zurich city.

The Grossmünster in Zurich is ironically one hell of a church. Beautiful from the in- and outside, great views from one of the towers!
