I can only suggest this museum if you have seen all else in Zurich. It's been renovated last year and the looks are good. But there is nearly no guidance of what there is to see. And the reason for this becomes clear when you start the visit: there is not that much to see. Well, of course , there... More

Went to the musuem to learn about Swiss history. Some exhibits were great, others only ok. In general I learned a lot about Swiss history and saw some cool stuff, learned some neat facts. Worth a visit if you have time but don't spend all day here.

The hours spent here were very enjoyable. From looking at the website and the floor plans, I didn't think no more than few hours were needed, but it is a pretty big museum. We spent 2 hours alone in the European Renaissance section. Very interesting history on Switzerland and its culture. Be aware no photography allowed in the museum. Also... More

Great exhibits of how the country was form, interesting art and historic pieces and the "Europa in der Renaissance" special exhibit was good. The building is beautiful next to a park, where you can take a break and just take in the city.

Behind the train station is this wonderful museum about Swiss culture. It gives you a good perspective on their democracy, anything Swiss produced and products are still in existence today, proudly so. There is a good mix of artefacts and information at each display. Very easy to spend several hours absorbing the contents within the museum. There is a refreshment... More

Near the train station, the museum offers an overview of Swiss history as well as special exhibits. Lockers are available for large bags and jackets. There are guided tours available in English and other languages.

The museum is an astounding, impressive French Renaissance architecture, offering lots of interesting historical exhibitions from ancient time, middle age, up to the 20th century. The place is very accessible from the train station.

I thoroughly enjoy museums during my travels (6 of 7 continents). Most museums I enjoy (not all) and some I love. This falls into the *love* category! What a surprise. It was somewhat of a cool day with sprinkles. It was a spur of the moment decision to go. It is very convenient directly across the street from the train... More
