The botanic garden is situated near the trendy Seefeld area just a few minutes of the hustle and bustle of Seefeldstrasse. It offers a great variety of flora and fauna as well as several greenhouses each of which is showcasing a different geographical zone, from dry desert climate, to medium wet tropical climates and tropical vegetation. On the hillside of... More

The gardens are a very peaceful way to spend 1-2 hrs. We went in march the sun was shining and it was a very pleasant relaxing couple of hours. Take some sandwiches and you can chill in the garden and take In the view. There are three domes to visit which are nice.

Stopped here while riding a rental bike in Zurich, Switzerland. So glad that I did because it was absolutely beautiful. It was a great place to enjoy the view, the scenery as well as a place to simply "stop" and reflect. Quite peaceful.

... here in the 'Garden of Eden' it never gets boring for me because there's so many different things to explore in the botanical garden, people come in and find out about themselves, great place, best early in the morning when they open the gate or the hour before they close the main gate ...

Quite fantastic collection, amazingly maintained garden. I went in autumn, which is perhaps not the best time for most plants, however, I especially loved the tropical domes, and they didn't seem to be seasonal.

I didn't have a whole lot of time here, and judging from some of the pictures, I missed at least one entire section of the garden. But it's a very nice place to go to get some quiet. There's a bit of a maze of trails going in different directions, and it was fun to explore and relax. It's not... More

The botanical garden is part of the University of Zurich. It has seasonal plants and flowers in their prime at "their" time of the year. It is used for educational purposes, especially for elementary-age children. The garden is really peaceful, and spending time just sitting and contemplating on a nice day is worthwhile. There are three tropical greenhouses with mountain... More

A pleasant place to walk around. Probably nothing really unique. The perennial beds are a bit of a mish-mash but that seems to be the "new" style. Has a cafeteria with a salad bar. Greenhouses are standard plant habitats (the same design company must be doing all the gardens). A special exhibit on the African Violet family was quite informative.... More
