The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum is housed in Zurich's most prestigious shopping district, situated in the very heart of the city, in the premises of the Beyer watch store. The exhibition comprises some 300 pieces from all fields of chronology, which are examined in technical and scientific terms as well as from an art-history point of view. The museum is home to one of the most important horological collections in the world. It recounts the complete history of timekeeping from 1400 BC to the present day.

Many thanks for your kind answer. Please note our museum is free of charge with the Zurich card but unfortunately not covered by the swiss pass. We are very sorry, that you had to pay the entrance fee.

This was free with our ZurichCard, so we stopped by. It is in the basement of a nice watch store, and traces the history of timekeeping from the early days. They provided a free iPad that gave an English translation of everything. It also allowed...More

This is an amazing collection of time piece presented through history. They lend you an IPad loaded with all the details about the pieces on display and should you have any questions, the docent is a font of knowledge.

Not too many, but adequate for a watch museum. Unlike other watch brand's museums, Beyer shows history in an objective manner.

A tiny little space with a number of exotic clocks, watches, and curiosities. I thought it was worth 30 minutes but some others in my group wanted to spend 2 hrs there.
