I believe they close at the end of October and I'm not sure when it opens up again, but make sure to visit the Antique Market on Saturday Morning. It opens around 10am and has very interesting items - everything from vinyl records, pearls, silver utensils (cheap), clothing, jewelry...and much more! Make sure you have plenty of time to wander.

Right next to one of the main tram station, Bellevue, you will find Buerkliplatz. It is really within walking distance and will give you great picture opportunities of the Lake and nearby mountains. Don't plan to stay too long though. You may also take a boat from there.

Bürkliplatz is the place where the boats leave for lake round-trips. I often take such round-trips and work on the boat. You should take some time and take the boat to Rapperswil, have a break there, and take the boat or train back. The whole round-trip from Zurich to Rapperswil and back takes around 4 hours. You can have food... More

I stayed at Baur Au Lac Hotel which is a short walk away from Buerkliplatz. I took advantage of some free time I had during the business trip to stroll along the General Guisan Quai road and enjoy the view of Buerkliplatz. The view is amazing. The clean street dotted with huge trees coupled with the blue water of Lake... More

We spent most of the time at this place.. Very beautiful.. fresh air always.. A lot of Ferrari cars are seen here although but not to be missed anyways.. one can have a boat ride from this place which leaves at different time costing different amount based on the duration.. the best is however a 1 hour ride which is... Enjoyable and scenic. Free if you have a swiss travel pass. Might as well make full use of it. Bring a jacket!

This is the junction of the Zurich Lake & the Limmat river. On a clear day one can view the snow capped Alps mountains at the end of the lake. Tourists can enjoy the steamer rides in the lake with plenty of options till late evening. Bahnhofstrasse, the premier shopping street of Zurich originates from here. The place is well... More

On a fine, sunny day it's a treat to relax on the ferry and criss-cross the Zurich See in comfort. We chose the short tour (90 minutes) as this was included on our 3-day travel pass. Refreshments are available on the boat, but they're pricey so we had our snack and drink with us.

This open space at the end of Bahnhofstrasse is also the place to catch the boat cruises on the lake. Superb view of Lake Zurich and mouth of the River Limmat. Perfect spot for relaxation and scenic photos!
