I went to the museum to see the Iranian Exhibition. The museum has two parts, one is the old complex and the other is the new part (in which the exhibition was held), which is underground below a squire and partly under the museums garden....More

Although small, this museum succeeds in organizing spectacular exhibitions in Assen. The replica of the Bisotun relief of Darius is great. Very difficult to approach the original in Iran.

The museum has different exhibitions going on. There is a more modern part and wooden Floorstraat squeeking historic part. Love it!

We visited the Drents Museum for the first time to see the exhibition on American Realism. The exhibition is well organized and easy to view. The options in the gift shop are also good and varied. This was well worth the price of admission.

They have a great exhibition on American realism from 1945 - 2017 until half of May 2018. Also an archeological exhibition of the province of Drente.

Nice museum. Have learnt that in the Netherlands they prefer you to keep bags in lockers in museums- as a foreigner, I was not used to this. Went to see an exhibit to contribute to a university class, and the staff were understanding about this....More
