Unique in Amsterdam! Make a city tour through Amsterdam with an original American school bus. The glass rooftop can be opened up and provides you with a great view. The providing of information aboard of the bus is very modern and never before applied in Amsterdam. The bus has a GPS-operated system, so you will hear at every point the right information. And one can choose of 15 different languages. We speak your language!

The bus ride is not as interesting. Perhaps could be good if you figure out a few routes where you would like to visit. Not recommended as a full day activity. One or 2 hours is good enough.

I always enjoy going on these buses because you can see the city easily and take good pictures and learn history. But this one was upset to see a little bus when was expecting a double decker so when higher up better picture images. So If I knew the bus was like this I wouldn't if booked it to be... More

I have nothing good to say about this tour. The longest portion is spent at the Gassani diamond factory. This was interesting but was certainly not worth the time spent at it. The only value I got out of this was that I could get some idea of how the city is laid out. I really do not see this... More

We walked into an office called "Tours and Tickets" and asked for a bus sightseeing tour. They recommended this one, but I must warn everyone to take this tour. It has almost nothing to do with a normal sightseeing tour - the tour appears to be more of a commercial for a so-called diamond factory. We were told the tour... More

Booked tour to begin at 10.30, by 11.30 bus had still not arrived, a fellow passenger enquired with a rival firm to exchange our tickets, which they agreed and informed us that the bus had broken down. Shame nobody had thought to inform any of the passengers waiting for the tour. Poor customer service. Only giving 1 rating as it... More

My friend had never been to Amsterdam so I suggested a two hour bus tour and this was a good one. The stop at the diamond Exchange was especially interesting to my friend.

Great value and very informative. It is possible to get on and off as many times as you like and the map is great to help you decide what you want to see. Runs every 15minutes so never had to wait long for a bus. Great views from on top!

I didn't have time to hop on/hop off, so I thought this drive through the city would allow me to see highlights. Only the price (13 Euros) was somewhat right. The "Diamond Factory" was a real-life scam disguised as a tour. Despite what they claimed, prices for diamonds were not at all reasonable - not that I would spontaneously buy... More

We bought combined canal and bus tour tickets at our cruise port information desk. The canal tour was very good but Touristbus Amsterdam was barely adequate. The starting point wasn't easy to find and the non-air-conditioned American International school bus has to stop in a loading bay, shared with taxis and excursion coaches, running the gauntlet of traffic wardens. The... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
