I was astonished with the way of life on boats in Amsterdam, I fell in love immediately. We didn't have high expectations comparing to widely popular museums in Amsterdam, but it was extraordinary.

We have time to stroll along different canals and found a boat museum which allowed visitors to embark on the boat to view the different partitions inside. A nice experience and good explanation by the boat dweller.

We spotted this online before we arrived and had to visit. First time on a house boat and it was amazing to see the history of that boat. We where the only ones on it and it was very cheap.

Only problem was that it was the hottest weekend in August and the boat was very hot inside, I should have taken a sun hat and sunglasses - but the views were good.

Museum Boat or Houseboat Museum( Woonboat museum) or Houseboatmuseum Amsterdam, all three are on the sites of Tripadvisor. But this one has the wrong address. Smits Koffiehuis is a restaurant in front of Central Station

A nice example of life on a house boat. A little hard to find. If it is open look for the red tourist flag flying above it. It only costs $3.50. It is interesting and nice. Doesn't take long to see it all! would recommend...More
