Managed to get the 24hr ticket for the bus and canal boat. Well worth the money. It gives you an incite of the areas and locations before you wander around Amsterdam yourself. Some great photo opportunities.

I have been on many of these buses around the world but this one was the worst ever. For a start, it simply went around the ring road and then it spent most of the time stuck in traffic. Waiting times were much longer than...More

Hop on hop off buses are always a good way ti visit a new city, this is no exception. Buses were new and clean, descriptions well done and multilingual. But we found the long wait at various stops irritating, wasted a lot of time.

Hopped on the canal boat for a one-hour tour of Amsterdam to get acquainted with the city. Guide was very entertaining. Later we used the boats for leisurely transportation from our hotel (Museum Quarter) to city center and other stops.

How do we get to the tour location from the airport? Can we order an Uber? How far is it from the airport?

Don't bother with a cab. Trains to the city centre from schipol airport go every 15 minutes at around about 5 euros for a one way fare. The airport staff are also very helpful with any questions or concerns you may have.

Between 9.00 and 18.00 are the operating Hours of the company so I imagine the last boat doesn't leave any later than 17.30.
