The life and works of Van Gogh are presented in this modern gallery over 3 floors. Very interesting insight into Van Gough as a person and artist. Includes works from the artists who influenced Van Gough. Loved all of it.

We visited the museum at 10am with pre booked tickets. It became very busy and in some parts difficult to study the art work. But it was an enjoyable experience to see Van Gogh's work progress through out the exhibition. We recommend to go early.

What a treat! Great insight into artist's life and opportunity to see some of his rare paintings and phases. I simply couldn't get enough of it. Beautiful experience, strongly recommend it to all art lovers on their visit to Amsterdam.

The museum has the most extensive range of van Gogh works many of which were donated by his family. There are also works by some contemporaries. The museum tells van Gogh's life story.

Great place for art lovers. Good organization of paintings over the artist's life time with explanation of his life. Beware of the crowd. Gets over populated at times, spoiling the experience. Majority of visitors are there just to tick off the box of 'things to...More

The handsome van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is a wonderfully designed, wholly intuitive space - a very rare building. Its internal structure 'leads' you chronologically through the life of the artist, even "pausing" - as he did his active career for a year - then...More

No, but you have big museum store right by VG museum. If you need to go in a NEMO museum shop (perfect for children gifts) you can go without ticket.
