You walk in and you are met with long lines to buy tickets so best to have the museum card which you get in straight away. The pictures were wonderful, they wrote names of paintings and wrote about Van Gough he is a remarkable man....More

Seems to have more shops then there is art. Not very helpful staff when they lost my boyfriend jacket. Have to pay extra to see the other art on the right hand side of the building.

Very crowded so be wise and pick a visiting time normal tourists do not do... TIP: do you know a spectacular movie is now in the cinema's: "Loving Vincent". Be overwhelmed by the 65.000 (...)paintings that made this cartoon type movie

Don't miss any of the floors. Compelling groupings and explanations. Family history. I loved the three still life(s) of apples next to each other (?4th floor?). Gift shop filled with appropriate small to large gift ideas.

The security man on first floor “sunflowers” painting is so rude and aggressive towards us. Waiting to pounce at any time grabbing your arm to tell shout at you for taking pics Van gogh is my fave painter and was so excited for this museum....More

You can go online and book your time of visit. This is the best way to avoid long line.

It really depends on how much information you want to have about each painting. My advice is hear the intro and then move on. IMHO there's only one floor that'll take your time, but you shouldn't have to spend more than... More

I am not sure about not getting in at all. I recommend buying timed ticket in advance even 1 week for sure. You by pass any queue of any sort. Also, the queue is outside so October may be cold and wet. The Van Gogh museum... More
