Worth a detour. Forget about all the cheese shops in the tourist area. The original store is a 10-minute walk from Anne Frank House. This is nirwana for cheese lovers. The focus is on French and Dutch (the best of both worlds). Outstanding wine collection....More

Forget about the cheese stores in the city centre with “Dutch cheeses”. This one is a real cheese store with amazing cheeses and friendly staff. I just love the small entrepreneurs who have heart for their produce they sell. And last week I tried the...More

There are plenty of touristy shops in Amsterdam where you can buy overpriced cheese, but this is not a place where you'll get ripped off. The selection is fairly small, but it is excellent. There's plenty of French cheese, too, but we came for the...More

Think about it: you are walking peacefully into The Jordaan neighborhood, when the atmosphere becomes full of cheese smell.... If you like cheese, you'll feel like in a paradise. It's a small shop, but full, with more than one hundred cheese types. French, Dutch and...More

Sitting below canal level in the split level basement-sub-basement fromagerie. This place has an exquisite array of the most wicked and well-crafted fermented raw milk cheese from (very) small scale cheese-producers in France, Belgium, Netherlands and UK (and sometimes some other European lands). Book ahead...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Hello. Check out their tasting room “Proeflokaal” in Amsterdam Noord. I have been there it is great. Just 10 minutes walk from the ferry to Amsterdam Noord/ Eye Museum. And check on their site for opening hours.
