This was our first time at the Carre theatre, it is a truly splendid historic building, it is the oldest in the Netherlands, it has been renovated in 2004 so the seats were comfortable. The production we attended was Swan Lake, it was the largest...More

Saw the Shanghai Ballet yesterday. It is a compact, well maintained theater. One has to be very careful which seats are selected. For Shanghai Ballet, do not select the first 7 rows in Stalls. They are too close to the stage and not possible to...More

This is really a nice theater, impressive building with a lot of history. Although there are around 1,700 seats in this theater, the atmosphere is still cosy and very comfortable. For sure a must-see in Amsterdam.
