We were staying in The Amstel so this market was basically behind our hotel. We would walk through in the morning seeing the stalls being set up and walk back through in the afternoon on our way home. It has a really nice atmosphere. The...More

Really cool outdoor market with lots of shops and street food. Only negative thing I have to say is I wish there were more places to get stroopwafels and salted herring, both were fairly hard to find.

Albert Cuyp is one of the better outdoor markets. It can get very crowded so make certain you keep your bags very close and keep an eye out for pickpockets. There are a load of stalls - many of which belong to stores and shops...More

This is one of the best outdoor markets I have seen. It has almost something for every one. The varied street food choice is amazing. Good quality merchandise and souvenirs can be picked up at a bargain compared to Dam Square. The vendors are local...More

Took a tram and got off at the Heineken Brewery. Walked a few blocks and the street market was there. Easy to find. Options galore of clothing, food, cheeses, waffles, flowers, and just about anything you might need/ want from a street market. Not sure...More

We went here on a Saturday afternoon, which is probably the busiest peak of business they have. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes surrounding the market area, and the whole square is a cute place to visit. The market stalls weren't really appealing to...More

This market is well over-hyped (again). Nothing special. In fact, nothing that you can't get in your local market. Well, yes the food is different but the tat remains.

Unless you live in Amsterdam or need a t-shirt or some fresh fruit, the market is interesting to tourists for the interesting Street food available. From traditional raw herring & pickle (which btw is not too bad at all, from someone who normally avoids sushi...More

My wife and I went to Amsterdam for a 5-day honeymoon. This market seems to be the busiest among the other markets we visited. It has some artistic decorations, and it also has so many kind of stalls.

Albert Cuyp market is one of my favourite places to visit in Amsterdam. Much more authentic and local than other markets (including the tourist driven Bloemenmarkt). Lots of excellent street food, including my favourites, poffertjes, strop waffles, fries and kiberling. Lots of flowers, fish and...More

Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag
through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp

many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic
thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in
search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly
half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners

Don't remember seeing any at the Albert Cuyp market. There is quite a good selection at the flower market (bloemenmarkt) at singel street. Don't be tempted to buy at the first place you see. It doesn't take long to go... More
