Great way to start a Saturday morning. We strolled through the different booths. Lots of vintage clothing and unique items. Great baked items and cheese vendors. We grabbed some bread and local cheese for an impromptu picnic.

A great destination while wandering the Canal ring or the Jordaan. Wonderful variety of foods and goods- very much oriented towards locals- perfect for a picnic or ad-hoc lunch.

Every Saturday a lot of people do their grocery shopping here, from fish stalls to fruit & veg and also clothing and bikes.

It was a crowded place on Saturday, but it was not uncomfortable to just flow with the crowd. There were stalls selling different types of food, among other items like flowers and household items. There were cheeses, bread, waffles, chocolates, soups, sausages, nuts, health food, humus, fishes, fruits, and fresh oysters to be served on the spot - aside from... More

Well organised, not too big, lots of variety. Wish we hadn't already had breakfast - lots of yummy food there. A real local market.

Being markets lovers, there is nothing better to do on a Saturday morning then visit a street market. This one has is all, flowers cheese, meats, fish, veges and cloths. This one does not old back on the tastings, all types of cheese, olives and dips, chocolate, savoury nibbles as well as savoury meats all very tasty.

The marked in Lindengracht, Jordaan is only on Saturdays. We went there on a cold but sunny saturday in february, around noon, and it was extremely crowded. There is not much homemade authentic kind of stuff to be found but its good for food, snacks, cheese and flowers. Since Jordaan is a beautiful neighbourhood it could be worth just to... More

If you like the combination of food, clothing (new and vintage), fresh produce and flea market, go for it. We had great time just wandering and also bought an old print and cheese to take home.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
