The park is nicely located, very good place to go for a walk on a sunny day. Unfortunately it is quite poorly maintained. The benches are old and dirty. On rainy days there is lots of mud on the trails so it's not possible to walk there without getting your shoes dirty.

... with interesting modern sculptures dotted around the place and nice paths winding around the lake. Also good for a shortcut if you are walking to central Amsterdam from a hotel on Linnaeusstraat.

Lovely well kept park, no cyclists allowed so it's nice and calm, great for kids as it has two play parks and good for walking the dog

The park is a wonderfull one to walk through and just enjoy all the different birds occupying its waters and land. We had a trip in the park on a very sunny day in July, so it was full of locals trying to get some sun and Vitamin D. atmosphere is very pleasant, and I would reccomand this park as... More

This place isn't big but worth a visit if you want somewhere pretty and nice to stretch out. There's a lovely water feature all through the middle and lovely places to lay and chill. Definitely recommend for young and old and kids

This place has everything, I've walked through this park plenty of times these past few days, and each day I've seen fitness classes, people jogging and lots of dog walkers, not sure if there are public toilets but there are plenty of things for children like climbing frames etc

Happened upon this great little park after shopping at Albert Cuypmarkt. Lovely scenery, quiet and perfect for a picnic. A great place to wind down and feel at home.

It is rather small (it stretches for only two blocks) compared to Vondelpark but is calm and offers scope for picnics on fine days. You can pick up food from the Albert Cuypstraat market or there are shops around, including an organic supermarket on nearby Ceintuurban, where there's also Cafe Hasard for takeaway 'frites' and 'Wild Moa Pies' is also... We brought food around the neighborhood to the park for a picnic. It was a sunny Friday, perhaps it was the last day at school so there were a whole lot of kids are running around with just their underwear and the parents are laying on the lawn having a sunbath. I'm amazed by how secure they feel for their... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
