It was by chance we came across the windmill what a great experience. The guide was full of knowledge and very witty. Had a great sense of humor. Her name was Phyllis. She loves the Irish. But a great trip to the mill.

A truly amazing windmill in a beautiful city. We caught some great views of it while walking around this lovely little city and were thoroughly impressed. It's cool to see it still functioning in its natural state (as opposed to some of the windmills in...More

Great stop along the windmill tours through Haarlem. This one was really interesting because it was a mill to cut wood. Very nice area to visit so bring a camera!

An amazing sight to behold while in Haarlem. It was beautifully built and provided an amazing landscape to the surrounding area.

Skip the throngs of unruly busloads at tacky Zaanse Schans and visit this treasure, in beautiful historic Haarlem. with lots of other interesting museums to boot. Although this windmill is a historically accurate reproduction and is less than tenth years old, I got a much...More

It is a typical sign for the Netherlands! And in Haarlem it looks just magnificent ;) Moreover you can go into it and drink something by the way!

Take the guided tour with one of the volunteer guides. You get to go through the mill process and lean about the internal workings. We also got to see the Miller lay out the cloth on the actual windmill blades. If your taking pictures of...More

.....and a beautiful one too. Imposing and old. This traditional building is what Holland is famous for. Makes a great photo opportunity when in Haarlem. Sitting on the river, the building is also a museum too.
