Het "Zeeuws Museum" isn't a museum I wouldn't select as target for a day trip, but it is a nice museum, not to be skipped when visiting Middelburg. It has some interesting points, not in the least the historic building the museum is situated in....More

Our family arranged prior to the visit a guided tour. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and sit to this fact the exhibition was pretty much far more interesting then just walking around and take a look. The tapestries are impressive.

From the name you would (perhaps wrongly) assume that this place is all about the province of Zeeland whereas it is more of a collection of art and artifacts, some of which admittedly are historical gems related to the province but the majority comes from...More

This museum has a collection of unusual things - Roman ruins, tapestries of the way against Spain, 4 hour film which is 1 minute each day for a year of the same plot of land, film of interviews of locals about life here. There are...More

This museum has some amazing tapestry of 16th century seabattles in the Zealand waters (and a guard who did know a lot about this tapestry, which was very pleasant). Also work of Zealand painters, not all talented but nevertheless nice to notice; and with a.o....More

Situated in the beautiful old abbey of Middelburg, this is worth a visit. It masterfully combines the old with the new.

The entry fee at 9.50e is too expensive for what's on offer inside. The building is more interesting

When I found this museum I thought it would explain, in detail, the history of Zeeland of both its people and the land itself. Instead, it is a collection of antique objects that sometimes appear to have no relation whatsoever. Perhaps I missed a portion...More
