This museum used to be townhall / court. That are also the only 2 romms in the museum at the time we visited this place. From the top floor, you have nice views.

The old Town Hall shows different function rooms including the former local "Court of Justice". In general it gives a good view of the life in former centuries in Veere. It is strictly dealing with local history.

Both the town council chamber and the magistrates chambers are complete with furnishings and pictures. There are a couple of other rooms as well plus a panoramic guide in English to help. Ticket include with the Scottish Merchant house museum.

This small sea side town feel quiet and bland. As we get closer, we saw this high clock tower. When we got into the town centre, this beautiful 15th century Gothic style building rest majestically beneath the clock tower.

I didn't go inside the museum but spent a good deal of time just gazing at the building itself and noticing all the detail.

Considering the small size of this town, the town hall looks magnificent from the outside. Inside, the courtroom is also very worthwhile. There is a golden cup reserved for the king, who is also marquis of Veere. For the rest I found the museum a...More

Veere is a beautiful little town (large village?) and was a delightful stop in a busy week. We loved its beautiful setting, quiet streets and lovely buildings. But this one is such a waste of space. Weird modern 'art' scattered thinly in a sparse building....More

Not much happening here, but still one of the very little things to do while in Veere. Why not, you might gather some Dutch to read in the process.
