The Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site is a unique icon of Dutch water management and control. All the phases of the history of our struggle against water are still visible here. The unique collection of 19 mills in an authentic Dutch landscape is an eye catcher. Museum windmill Nederwaard shows how families lived and worked in our mills around 1900. And in Museum windmill Blokweer you can experience working as a miller. View our multi-screen film in the Visitors Centre, located in the former steam-driven pumping station. Get on board of our electric vessel, the Prince Friso, and view Kinderdijk from the water. Feel the wind, smell the water and listen to the sound of the windmills. The Kinderdijk World Heritage site is open almost the entire year!

We went on a boat cruise on the Rhine and stopped to see the windmills. It was interesting, especially because the evening before we had a lecture abut how they work and their importance. However, I just had a hip replaced and I decided not...More

I think we weren't as impressed as we thought we would be for a combination of reasons. First of all, it was raining lightly, which didn't help. Second, our Viking tour guide was quite boring. We left the group early. The windmills were OK but...More

Maybe I'm in a bad mood because I feel misled by the official Kinderdijk team when I bought tickets. How did my e-ticket save me 1.5 euros? Description on the website misled me into thinking my ticket price included waterbus. It doesn't. If coming from...More

I had seen pictures of the Kinderdijk windmills but didn't really know much about the attraction. We visited in May 2017 on a beautiful day and loved it. Walking in picturesque open countryside and seeing living history of how people lived in the windmills as...More

Amazing. Rode bikes from Rotterdam around the city and ended up here, not realizing that you can take a water taxi directly from the Rotterdam harbour. We did that one the way back, but truly enjoyed the scenery while biking there. Would go again in...More

Visiting the Kinderdijk windmills was a magical experience! Loved the history of the place, and really interesting to see the interior of the windmills where the windmiller and his family lived. Having the huge blades whoosh by while standing near the mill was quite an...More

Came here on my first day in this country--and it was like living a travelogue. Weather a bit cool and rainy, but great guides, informative movie, lovely setting; just classic. Highly recommend to all

The small group tour of Kinderdijk was one of the best and most interesting tours we took on our Viking river cruise. Our guide Ad, as well as the other volunteers who run Kinderdijk, did an excellent job of showing us how the site worked....More

Hi I'm not sure what your question is, but do you want to know if you come to Kinderdijk whilst on a Rhine cruise from Amsterdam? It all depends on the tour and touroperator. Some ot them do and some don't. But if you do... More

Hi - I think you intended to send this to the actual facility rather than me as a reviewer. We did not take the boat tour so I do not know those prices. Enjoy your visit!
