The Boerhaave offers a display of machinery that moved science forward. The museum is very interactive and my child loved it. We will be back

The new Boerhaave museum has become better after the renovation. More interaction, more interactive, more lively. Still the explanations are to difficult for a lot of people.

If you are in Leiden, visit this museum. It looks great, has a lot of interesting topics covered, complete with audio fragments and test setups. Make sure you have enough time though, if you want to explore everything!

I enjoyed seeing some of the historic scientific intstruments, but some of the main features, such as the presentation in the old operating theater, are in Dutch only. I went to check this one out on my own--I think my kid would have been bored.More
