nice shopping street

A street in the old part of the city of Antwerp where it is nice to go shopping mostly for antiques and vintage things.

Antwerp is a small provincial town so prices are very moderate compared to "big" towns. In Kloosterstraat a number of very interesting shops are housed: art of many aspects, vintage, jewels, ceramics, go inside the shops, explore and find you treasures

Street of most antique shops. Some fun restaurants too. 'Chez Fred' is a very good bistro. The steak tartare is delicious. As dessert the 'Dame Blanche' is my favorite. I looooooove the European cappuccino.

The street is quite busy and it has plenty to see from little pubs, fritteries, Cloth Stores (Hipsters), erotic shops, computer shops, antiques and many other stores. Is great to park at the Zuid and walk all the way in the direction of the grand Platz and the cathedral. IF you have time to enjoy a nice walk, you should... More

what a wonderfull way to pass a boring sunday afternoon. park your car on the vlaamsekaai. have some cake at tinsel an then walk along the kloosterstraat. sure you will find some treasure at one of the antiques stores. (tante brocante is my favourite) Finish at the sunday marquet on the sint annatunnel square.

They told me they had a light I wanted either one in "excellent" condition or one with a repair. I bought the one in excellent condition. What was shipped to me was the damaged light. They were advised. Then started months of emails "we're looking for the replacement, hard to find, we're on summer vacation" etc etc. Then suddenly... silence.... More

One of the few streets whose businesses seem to be fully open on Sundays, that makes of Kloosterstraat one of the favourite picks for a Sunday stroll. Some nice buildings and courtyards to visit too.

Busy street, some good antique shops but overall now a sort of souk with cheap and not so nice shops and people walking around, certainly on a weekend
