This zoo is an annex of the Antwerp zoo. It has a large collection of animals, for example a great new penguin area. The zoo is organized around continents and has well set-up viewing areas. It also has many attractive playgrounds / play structures, which will keep the children interested and busy. There are a couple of restaurants inside, with... More

In a natural enviremont you can see lots of animals in a very animal friendly park, separated into continents. There's a lot to do for the kids. And the education programm about storks is very interesting.

We love Zoos, and always seem to go to one when we are on holiday. This is a medium sized Zoo with animals separated into continents- Europe, Americas, Asia, Africa, Oceana. The day we went it was cool and rainy, so some of the animals were inside, but that is what you can expect at any zoo. Most of the... More

The park is beautiful, the animals have very nice cages and are well treated. Perfect place for a day off with children or friends.

Animal zoo Planckendael is the ideal trip with little children. The zoo is divided into the five continents, each providing typical properties and typical animals. The last years, Planckendael made a lot of efforts to provide maximal comfort for all of the animals. You can watch the feeding of the elephants within very close range. There is a brand new... Good value if you take the season tickets, a bit expensive if you only go once. But, it's the best zoo in Belgium with lots of space and playparks for the kids.

Planckendael is partitioned into geographical sections, each representing a continent - and I would estimate an hour to see each continent. Including a break for lunch and a couple of smaller breaks, I estimate an entire day to see the whole thing. I remember working out that for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, the cost of two...
