From 5pm everyday (when the Christmas markets are on) there is an hourly light/music show which is absolutely amazing to see. The Town Hall features heavily in the show - completely magical and would be good for kids to see. In the daylight it is equally spectacular.

After visiting the Galerie Royale, a short walk trough a narrow street, a breathtaking view opens in front of you - THE GRAND PLACE, with impressive buildings. The front building is the Town Hall, and around the square historical buildings, all with magnificient gold painted decorations. The square was transformed in a colorful Christmas market, wich added joyful to the... More

Visiting The Grand-Place you cannot help but see the Town Hall. It fills one side of the great square, and it is a beautiful building. built in the typically ornate Flemish style. When we were there we were fortunate enough to see a wedding celebration on the Town Hall steps, which thrilled the huge crowds that gather there most of... More

All lit up and covered in trees, the town hall is a magnificent building. You can't miss it and it's a great photo opportunity.

It was very beautiful, surrounded with beautiful buildings, and there is a lot of nice caffes and Waffel shops. Which is a sweet and tasty food that's famous in Brussels.

We visited at night. Beautifully lit up at night. Lots of chocolate shops and restaurants around. Just a short walk to the Mannequin Pis. We enjoyed our visit very much.

As is stated in other reviews, this is the best location in the city for restaurants, perhaps not the best food, but the most in number to try. Some very troursity, others institutions for years. Numbers of Choclate shops line the area around the square as well. These are are just fantastic for samples and we were advised not to... More
