Nice place

Very nice place with good beers. If you want you can try food but honestly do not expect a lot... Staff is strange but just go for my first statement...

A lovely, wood panelled bar tucked in an alleyway. Table service is efficient and friendly and the bar serves a good selection of beers including traditional lambic. Nothing flash but definitely recommended.

Firstly, we have been coming to Brussels for years and do like lambik beers. Years ago, when we first came to this place, we were more impressed: wooden floors, old fashioned interior, beers that come in an earthenware jug. Now, that initial excitement has worn off and returning recently, found it quite touristy and the beers pretty average. So, go once... More

To begin, I have to say that it's an estaminet which always makes it different than most bars or cafés. The name is 'la becasse' which means the woodcock. Look at the shape of the animal on the floor at the entrance. What is special about this place is the fact that they are specialized in the geuze (a local... More

Really looking forward to trying the beer and sampling the atmosphere here given reviews but it was disappointing. The staff were cold and almost sarcastic so had one beer and left.

It's a real belgian pub where you have a lot of choice. The place is nice, wooden. Crowded, it's not easy to find a place when you are more than ten. But I think it's the same everywhere else. A place to go.

Really small and crowded place. The beer was nice but the service was terrible. We had to ask four times for the check and we didn't get it until we started leaving.

This is one of the oldest pubs in Brussels. The beautiful interior is still the same as in 1877 and it is still owned by the same family. For beer lovers this a must. The Geuze lambiek and Witte lambiek are classics, fresh and delicious beers. Try them with a "cervelas" or a "boterham met platte kaas" and it will... More

Small little place, very difficult to find if you do not know it is there. But definitely a place to go as a beer lover. The selection is not very big, but the Gueuze's they have are sublime. The interior decor is very fitting and you can find yourself escaping from the big city buzz. Great place!

Hidden down small alley way, this bar is worth seeking out. The lambic beer is served in traditional earthenware jugs. Try the mixed beers-lambic and Kriek for example if the lambic is too sour for you! Seems to have a rather open policy on opening times... Sometimes closing if business is slow... But overall worth a trip! 🍻
