Dominating the Sablon Square in the center of Brussels, this church was transformed from a chapel into a major gothic church starting in 1436 through the beginning of the 16th century, and truly exemplifies the Brabantine gothic style of architecture.

The Sablon is a lovely area of Brussels where you can easily spend half a day just walking around. When you do, be sure to pop into this beautiful gothic church.

One could easily pass by and say "another big church" but this Cathedral does have magnificent windows that seem to make it very, very special and worth a visit.

Not as much in the centre of places as other churches, so can be rather quiet. Awesome building and lovely works of art inside.

Really nice cathedral for a short visit (not crowded at all and free). Thanks structure is in very good condition and was a good place to just sit and be quiet after some walking about. Stumbled upon it by accident.
