The large park with a 60 km. length lies in the soutern part, the more effluent one, of the city. It starts at the end of the fashionable Avenue Louise and stretches beyond the borders of the city crossing a few communities. The more visited northern side has two small lakes and an island restaurant approachable by a small ferry... More

Close to if not in town. It's a very nice place you can go often for walks and/or jogging or even biking.

This is a very large forest extending from La Hulpe to Waterloo to Brussels... as you go deeper into the forest (away from the car parks), you feel the quiet isolation and calm. Highly recommended for the casual explorer. It you are quiet (perhaps don't take a dog), watch for the deer among the trees.

Good green area, even though it would be better if the government eliminated a couple of roads crossing it

If you want to get out of the daily pressure and hurry, this forest is the place to be. It is very ancient and extremily close to Brussels. It is rather vast and there a lot of things to discover.

This is one of our favorite sunday walking place! Kids and Dogs favorite, especially on week-ends when no cars are allowed through.... it is great place to bike, skate and roll as well!! The one thing though that is a pity is that the new spot, Le Chalet rebuilt and old run down restaurant place in the middle of the... More

A nice place to relax and rediscover Nature combined with respectful human touch. One should go only if he/she is respectful of Nature. Otherwise one better stays out of it. This is a place to protect and enjoy the beauty it has to offer, not a place to abuse.

Many years ago when visiting the Foret des Soignes for the first time with my friend Silvio, a mad Tolkien follower, we started to look for sites in the Foret to make THE FILM. This was before Peter Jackson. Sigh and yes now I need to go to New Zealand to see if it is like the Foret des Soignes.... More
