We've been planning to visit the serres royales for over a year. Due to the limited opening days, it has been hard to pay this place a visit. This year we finally were able to go there and boy, we were in for a real...More

It is crowded but fun to have a visit if you love greenery around. It was probably set up by Royal family so it's a peek into the colonial past of belgium.

I'm very much in two about my visit. On the one hand, the gardens are gorgeous (pictures attached); on the other, it left a very bitter taste, on more than one level, I just can't seem to shake. Because the gardens are only open for...More

Only open for a few weeks in May, this is an absolute treat for anyone who likes plants, flowers and gardens. I think it cost about 2 euro! Amazing building, amazing collection of plants and just so well maintained and organised. I was really impressed...More

Unfortunately open only a few weeks a year, these are the gardens the royal family uses the rest of the time. Magnificent construction, unique collection of plants and exceptionally clean. Try to get in early before the crowd comes in... Involves a lot of steps...More

A beautiful palace with botanical gardens that only open once a year. Worth a wander if you like flowers/gardens, although there is something rather bizarre about the whole experience.

It's my second time and I still get surprised at the beauty of the place. Around end of April and only for a few weeks a part of the royal greenhouse can be visited. A must see.

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays myself. No, they only open once a year, in Spring, for a few weeks... However, I believe there was the flower carpet at Grand Place to see on that weekend, no?
