Interesting historical tour in Herkenrode Abbey. Excellent guide told About the abisses and the importance of the abbey for the surrounding communities. Also about the political Role of the abbey in the county of Loon.

here you can see the history the making of brandy (jenever) also tasting is nice , it is in the center of hasselt with some great restaurants

Great museum dedicated to the history of Jenever (Belgian gin). Good new displays and an excellent bar, marvellous staff and great fun.
