You actually need to step off the train to appreciate this grand architectural masterpiece. It is not large but nevertheless imposing in its futuristic style. Santiago Calatrava gave the city a new landmark, one which is being integrated little by little in the new cityscape. I love it!

This is a new and very beautiful structure. I stayed in a hotel just across the street. There are lots of shops and, during my visit, an exhibit on the Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors...yes, in Liege, Belgium. In addition to being functional, the structure is also a photographers dream.

If you love to admire the work of architects you could be flabbergasted by the design of this building. The railway station is a famous work of art for Belgian norms but may not be so impressive by frequent travelers.

You cannot not be stunned by this amazing piece of architecture. The style of Calatrava is immediately recognizable. Amazing arches without pillars in the main station. Critic blame how windy it can be ; well if they are cold, they can stay in the gallery downstairs before their train comes.

Extremely open architecture, letting light into the entire station below, numerous views from all around, changing with the light conditions. Really a must. Somewhat windy.

Thank Marc M
