I first saw the Liege cathedral 45 years ago. Much of the city has changed since then - including the number of cars per city block - but the cathedral remains its staid self. The only exception is the addition of "artsy" stained glass windows. I appreciate the need to replace such glass from time to time, but I must... More

Impressive cathedral, well-kept, fantastic ceilings. Entrance is free. Easy to find and visit: located next to the parking place. Tip: visit it in the Christmas break to see the Jesus' crib.

Cathedral of Liege is placed next to the other buildings at the square so it doesn't look as magnificent as it really is. But it amazing. We visited it during Christmas time therefore we could admire beautiful nativity scene displayed in the cathedral and its festive atmosphere. I recommend to wait for interesting lovely chimes. Finally this was the best... More

Better than I expected. Interesting art collection, especially the stained glass. The new heritage glass is very moving and worth a visit just for that.

It's a very nice one. With some interesting details. One was the one behind the pulpit. Also very impressive are the stain glass windows: a mix of old and new. Definitely a good place to rest is at the park next to it.

Liège has a variety of historical churches and religious buildings to visit; some are more inviting and interesting than others but the one not to miss is Cathedral Saint-Paul de Liège (Liège Cathedral), the seat of the Diocese of Liège. Located in the city center, the interior is an impressive amalgam of architectural designs incorporated over hundreds of years. The... More

Although not one of the iconic cathedrals of Europe, this is worth a short visit if you are in Liege. It seems to be more in need of restoration work than I have typically seen in my travels. Some of the windows and paintings are nearly impossible to see due to centuries of soot/pollution. Modern stained glass by two 20th... More

For me this was my favourite attraction (beside beers and waffels ofc.) in Liege. Attractive and huge. Worth to spend some time to discover inside.

A church is a church, a cathedral is a cathedral - this one is very typical, and gothic, too. BUT: there are glass windows made by contemporary artists, too, and that is very unusual, and very woth seeing (especially the 11 windows by Gottfried Honegger).
