There is an elevator, which is very important :). Amazing view of the city. But it does not worth the prices.

Delighted there is a lift from the 1st floor to the top of the bell tower, where a huge copper drum with pegs fitted into holes (the Carillon) works a system pulleys to 40 bells to ring out a medley of tunes! Like a giant...More

If you like you could walk up. But there is an elevator to access the upper floors. Once outside, the narrow viewing area provided great views of the city.

As all the Belgium cities, Ghent doesn't disappoint regarding the belfrys. This place offers Information about the history of the city and some amazing views over the present city. Deffinetly worth the visit.

The belfry and hall dominate the city center. On first look you think you are staring at another European church, but it had nothing to do with religion.

No need to buy tickets ahead of your trip. It will not be so crouded.
