I stumbled on this while living nearby in Leuven. It was a perfect place to ride a bike to and grab food at. There was a lot of history and it was very scenic. I'm definitely glad I found it.

The abbey was closed when we were there so we could only walk around and enjoy the setting.Terrace restaurant had extremely slow service but still enjoyable if not in a hurry. Walking through the cemetery also was interesting.

This cafe is located on the Abbey premises. Parking is just outside and a few steps away. It is a true pub. Enjoyed some beers and went for the spareribs. Desserts are Big, had a sorbet with 4 scoops. Yummy.

Excellent place to spend the evening of a warm day on a huge terrace in a beautiful and quiet atmosphere. Frequently visited by locals or by others after a bike or walk tours in the region. Pub is known for good spaghetti. Check opening hours.
