We wandered into a little square and found this beauty. Really pretty architecture in a lovely square. The square was buzzing and was full of people having a good time.

The upstairs chapel is stunning with fantastic medieval stain glass and the paintings on the walls. Sit and spend some time to take in the atmosphere. The chapel below is stark in contrast and peaceful and austere.

Wether you are a religious person or not, this church is worth. Silence must be respected within the building. Allows for quiet prayer and comtemplation. Architecture is stunning, and is highly decorative internally. Is said to contain a religious artefact which contains the blood of Christ. This is on display.

Visited the Basilica briefly. It is included in the museum pass, which you should buy if you plan to attend any museums or even the Belfort. Pretty church, but the real thing is the relic. Make sure you go when it is on display.

Popped in to have a quick look. Was at the back of a large group of people. Couldn't see any signs in English so didn't understand if I was supposed to pay entry? Had a look round and left. Didn't want to outstay my welcome. People seemed to be queuing but have no idea why? Stunning windows / decorations. Would... More

This is a beautiful church in Bruges, Belgium. As it's name states their holy relic has to do with blood that for many years during a certain time in the year becomes fluid. There is a ceremony that commemorates it. Whether you're a believer or not isn't important because it's a beautiful church with a beautiful interior in a beautiful... More

Beautiful building ...very spiritual . Arrived in time to see the whole ceremony and then was able to go up one at a time and put hands over the holy blood and pray.
