The 115 metres high brick tower of the Church of Our Lady is a perfect illustration of the craftsmanship of Bruges' artisans. The church displays a valuable art collection: Michelangelo's world-famous Madonna and Child, countless paintings, 13th-century painted sepulchres and the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold.

I wanted to see the Madonna, which was beautiful. It was expensive to get in and there was a lot of restoration going on. Hence a drop in price would have been appreciated.

If you want to see Madonna with the Child you must enter museum and you have to pay €4 as an admission. The statue is very small and far away so you won't be able to see it properly. I think it is too much...More

Had to come here to visit the Michaelangelo 'Madonna' statue. Well worth seeing this amazing sculpture. Extremely powerful. The building itself is amazing to visit and it can get quite busy but its worth the wait.

Fantastic visit for anyone interested in culture and history. The Madonna is the main attraction but the rest of the church is nearly as remarkable.

You can admire the only Michelangelo's work outside Italy for a reduced price of 3 Euro, but that is about all currently due to restoration. If you have seen Pieta's face in Rome, you can see it again here.
