The 115 metres high brick tower of the Church of Our Lady is a perfect illustration of the craftsmanship of Bruges' artisans. The church displays a valuable art collection: Michelangelo's world-famous Madonna and Child, countless paintings, 13th-century painted sepulchres and the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold.

This church is absolutely beautiful! I certainly don’t agree with people who say that there is nothing to see! There are frescoes, tapestries, paintings, tomb markers, opulent sarcophagi, hidden wall art and the interior beauty of the Church itself! Then there’s the striking organ, the...More

What a majestic sight to see. Ever since I saw monuments men I’ve wanted to see the statue. It is an incredible story and I’m so incredibly happy that it’s survived being stolen twice and has come to stay in this beautiful church. I was...More

A really beautiful and nice church that needs to be visited if you are in Brugges. The museum is also really nice but not a must see. The church has a really nice atmosphere.

Like I said, apart from the famous "madonna and child", the church has little to offer. Though the exterior is amazing the interior is very plain due to the damage of time and war.

Beautiful church with many significant artwork to see. Off course you will visit the small statue of Michelangelo and the famous graves. When i arrived it was very crowded though. You cant leave Bruges without visiting this church.

It's only a few euro to get in to the museum at this cathedral. There's a fabulous Michelangelo sculpture, among other things. Only disappointment was the limited information about the museum pieces. I would've liked to have learned more about them. It's not too large...More

Contrasted with the heaviness of so many other older churches, the white interior makes this one quite beautiful. The stained glass is very nice and of course there is Michelangelo's Madonna and Child. They allow photography which is nice since it is photo worthy.

The Madonna and Child are a treasure not to be missed. The church is undergoing restorations and is a great place to get away from the crowds.

I think you have to pay if you want to see the Madonna by michaelangelo but i think it is free if you want to enter the church and not see the madonna.
