To refer to this as a museum of archaeology. It's an almost pointless exhibit aimed mostly at children. Save your euros for an ice cream or a beer and save yourself the frustration.

Just had to leave a review after having visited the museum. It gets one star only because I couldn't leave less. You walk around the museum wondering which first grader made the set up. It has no descriptions, no real artifacts, no structure, no information,...More

The 3€ entry fee seemed reasonable but after going through the first 2 rooms you realise that you've made a mistake. It is terribly put together, pieces are missing and lacking descriptions/dates/historical periods. There were many rooms to look round but a lot of the...More

This was one of the first things we came across after the Minnewater Lake walking north and it sounded interesting so we thought we'd go in. Entry is 4 Euros. It was relatively small and quick to walk through. It was interesting but it wasn't...More

We visited on our museum pass. Probably more of a place for younger children and school groups to be fair with lots to do and see. Not accessible with loads of steps and trip hazards beware. Not one for the bucket list i'm afraid

I had seen descriptions that this museum explained the skills of an archeologist. Nevertheless, I expected to see some authentic items in a historic city like Brugge. But apart from some old looking pot fragments and tiles I was disappointed. Maybe that the presentation of...More

I'm really interested in archaeology and re-enactment, so I wanted to visit this museum. Unfortunately there was nothing which was worth to see (just a few artefacts, infantile exhibitions and a few poor quality reconstructions). I strongly recommend to visit other places or just take...More

This is for children. If you are over 5 feet tall then I guess you’ll miss most of it (it has very low windows and displays). If you are shorter and younger (accompanied by parents), you will probably love this.

Although I speak a few languages, Flemish is not one of them. Unfortunately, all the exhibits are only annotated in Flemish. There is an English ( and French and German) guide shert but the info on it is pretty scanty. Lots of broken pots, a...More
