The only line in the world that takes you so close to the sea that you can almost smell it ! The full length of this ride will take you to both ends of the Belgian coast, a nice ride that will take you almost two hours to go from one end to the other. Traveling through all the cities... More

THE KUSTTRAM is without a shadow of a doubt the best way to not only get around Ostend but to explore the very interesting West Flanders Coast. The tram runs from the French border to the Dutch border ,from De Panne to Knokke Heist. There are some nice resorts between these stops such as De Hann,Aan Zee,Wenduine,Blankenberge to name but... This a great service from Knokke near the Dutch border to De Panne near the French border. For just 8 Euros at the time of visit you can get on and off all day.

Would highly recommend using the tram, money well spent on an all day ticket 6euro return per person. If you wanted you could travel & see the whole country one end to the other. It's brilliant & no hassle whatsoever. We will most definitely be using it again

A great way of visiting towns along the coast from Knokke to De Panne. Great value at €6 for a day ticket. You can get on and off at your pleasure. Trams run every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes on a Sunday. They are very warm and comfortable.

The Kusttram can be extremely crowded during the tourist season, but it does remain the best option to travel from one seaside resort to the next. I accept that advertising is a source of income for De Lijn, the public transport company operating the Kusttram, but the carriages are virtually "wrapped" and that spoils the view of the seaside completely....
