A quiet, well maintained memorial. Like all the memorials in the area there is a board explaining the significance and events.

My uncle was buried near here in september 1917. His grave is unknown. I was really pleased to be able to commemorate his sacrifice here and plant a cross and a popy.

With all the history the area has this show the site of a battle that could have gone either way. Well maintained like all the sites if you have scottish roots that served Ypres its a place to visit but bring some tissues.

I don't think I would have found this one, except that we were staying at a B&B just along the road. It's a small, well-kept area, with flags flying and a lone Scottish soldier on a plinth. Very nice.

Being both Scottish and ex army this Black Watch memorial was a must see. It fully lived up to expectations being well sited and very well executed.

This part of Belgium has more than its fair share of memorials but this one is very modern and well worth a visit. It is a little bit off the main road but with the aid of a good Sat Nav you should find it...More

We visited this Memorial and Cemetery on our Back Roads Battlefields Tour. Again we found it to be well cared for and respected. The sacrifice these men gave for this country is well remembered.

Like many there are memorials scattered all round the area, this one to the Scotts. Simple and moving with benches to sit on and reflect, may be you will be lucky enough to hear a piper playing here on some occasions.
