Me and my friends camped on the camping grounds of Bon Echo for like 3 days and canoed every single day! The day rates are so cheap ($30 for a canoe for the day!) and we went to the islands and docked at random places to have snacks and enjoy the water. It was just amazing.. I will go here... More

Bon Echo is very serene with a small sandy beach. To hike the trails you have to ride a small ferry ($) across the river. It was a hike with uneven trails and a bit of a climb initially..Several flights of steps. The scenery is not as spectacular as other parks I have visited so for me it was a... More

I have stayed at MANY provincial parks in Ontario - at least one every year since I was a baby. I have to say that this is one I consistently come back to. This year I went with my boyfriend in late June, and we had the most wonderful time. Perfect warm weather, even some hard rain, and it was... More

Visited the park from Toronto over the Labor Day long weekend this year and had a blast. The park is well worth the drive (about 3 hours + traffic) from the city. I went with a party of 6 (including myself) and stayed two nights. Here are some specifics on the trip that are important to consider: Hardwood Hills Campground... More

First time at Bon Echo Park. We only had one night to spend there as we were traveling. Reservations are highly recommended, particularly for weekends. The sites are generous in size and fairly private. There are modern, exceptionally clean washrooms/shower facilities throughout the campground. Our site was a short walk to the lake and the beautiful sandy beach area .... More

Different experience when a group of us staying in yurts for 2 nights. To book the yurts for the weekend, we called the reservation at 7:00am sharp in 5 months advance. The park is huge in size and offers lot of things to do: hiking, canoeing, boating, swimming and natural heritage education etc.

Stayed September 4 to 6, 2016 My boyfriend and I stayed on lot 138 which is nice; it has lots of shade and is good regarding privacy. It is close to the washrooms (read outhouse) but upwind from it so there’s no risk of getting whiffs of the washrooms. A water station is also right next to the lot which... More

My husband and I came here last weekend for an anniversary getaway. Next time we will bring our children and our dog. We stayed in the Fairlawns campground area. The site was beautiful, clear ground for our tenting space, clean and we had our own path to the road so we didn't have to go hiking through the campground area.... More

While Bon Echo may be a destination park in Ontario I can assure you that there are many other parks to experience which have much more to offer. let me start off by saying that I have not been back country in Bon Echo. Having said that, I did attempt to spend a weekend at one of the walk in... More
