Sadly after the introduction of some members of the general public and their dogs, the whole place has become a toilet. Dog dirt and small black bags litter the ground all over the park. The only people who are destroying the forest are those who use it.

I was very impressed - highbrow expect this to be so nice, being right next to a motorway. There is plenty of parking, with a small parking area at the entrance and the main parking area further down the turn off. There are no toilets though.
There are clearly marked paths, some more "main" than others, or you could go off road and wander through the trees. Saw 4 red squirrels the first time I came...amazing! Beautiful in Autumn, so I'm looking forward to visiting in the Summer too.
Sometimes it's confusing which way to go, as part markers don't have arrows, but it's not too far to walk back if you go in the wrong direction.
Pretty good! 👏

Love walking the pup here, great forest walks and plenty wee burns for him to splash about in.
Kelty woods was my playground when I was a kid, everything looks so much smaller now.
One thing that spoils the woods, is the amount of dog dirt and poop bags lying around. Absolutely no need for this, some folk are just so inconsiderate.

A great day out for families. There are lots of different walks of different lengths. They are well defined with marker posts but a few maps in the woods such as the one at the car-park would assist. also a few "POO Bins" along the trails would safe walkers carrying the bags for miles and maybe stop some disposing of them at the side of the paths.

We enjoyed walking the yellow trail, the longest. The paths are firm with no steep ascents. There is a wide array of trees in some parts of the wood and parts are Forestry Commission. There is also a wide variety of dogs, most people seem to have more than one and plastic bags of dog dirt are a real eyesore. On the walk we saw over a dozen, some within easy reach of disposal boxes.
Dog owners need to be more responsible!
