This landscape has been formed from the remains of a huge opencast site which contains 3 large spiral hills with large metal artefacts left on the site . Charles Jencks inspirational landscaping is reminiscent of the well known work at Crawick Multiverse near Sanqhuar . Unfortunately there was not enough money left to finish the site.
There is great tourist potential here to develop a popular park There are paths leading from the east end of Loch Fitty and also from Kelty in the North. The hills have spiral paths round and the view is worth it from the top . There is also a small loch at the base of the hill .It took us an hour and a half to walk up and back down but we are not in the first flush of youth

This former opencast coal mine has been transformed into conical mounds with spiral paths Entry can be made from Loch Fitty as a continuation of the the Fife Pilgrim Way or from the original entrance from the Kelty side . It is a reasonable walk with some of the paths made up and others a wee bit rougher .There is a loch at the base of the largest spiral . The design has not been finished as funding has not been found to finish it . It has the potential to be one of the biggest draws for tourists Fife . It is a walk that requires a reasonable amount of effort and is steep in places . At the top are a series of industrial art pieces and a good view from the top . The project was instigated by Jenks the architect who was responsible for the Crawick Multiverse at Sanqhuar and the Garden of Cosmic Speculation at Dumfries
