This is a beautiful long stretch of beach right beside Lagos. Well, you do have to drive around behind the marina to get there from the city, but it is really great for fun in the sun. There are several good beach restaurants along the way where you can refresh with a cold drink or get a meal. We didn't... More

Really nice place on the sea front with glass frontage giving an excellent sea view. The food was great with fresh fish available. We came out of season so got served really quickly but it does get busy in the high season.

At this time of year (February) few, except visiting Scandinavians and kite surfers in wetsuits venture into the sea, and it is mostly those taking exercise on land that frequent the beach. Walkers, joggers and even beach volleyball players are out, and in the winter months, dog owners take advantage of a tolerance to let their pets run free, on... More

Amazing sweep eastwards from Lagos. Clear waters, crashing surf ...yes on a bright January day this location great despite getting to it across the railway line! In summer possibly a little crowded?

5 km of beautiful beach from lagos to the river of alvor. Very quiet in the winter with only some wooden restaurants. For people who love beach and sea.

This is a fantastic beach with lots of cafes dotted along it . Couldn't come yo this area without popping in to Por o Sol right at the furthest part of the Meia Praia beach or Gaviotte Branca or Linda's bar ! All good .

Meia praia beach is the longest beach in Lagos that goes to the entrance of Alvor bay. There are some lovely beach bars for those that enjoy the commercial end of the beach beach, yet there is a deserted end in front of the golf course that is commonly used by naturalists.

Meia Praia has beautiful sandy beaches, a few nice restaurants and can be accessed on foot from one of the many local hotels, or if you're staying a little further away it has a train station which has twice hourly connections to Lagos.

Taken several walks along this amazing beach. Walked through the sand dunes onto a most stunning beach sprinkled with an array of very pretty shells. There was one other couple who were jogging along the shores edge and the beach goes on and on into the distance, and not another soul to be seen. The sun was warm and a... More
