Years ago I found Meia Praia beach very bland as the whole area was underdeveloped. You could walk for what seemed miles with only the odd beach bar available and even then there could be nobody using it. Now it is a different story. There...More

Best long beach at Lagos. Don't need to ask license to put your toal in the sand, it isn't crowded. Clean and have good restaurants, sports along the beach. Usually is windy after 2pm (good for windsurf) At the end of the beach is more...More

This is a fab beach for sunbathing, swimming walking and beach sports, it just seems to go on forever. Coupled with some great beach restaurants Meia Praia is not to be missed.

Miles and miles of beautiful white sand, so picturesque. A few beach bars but basically a huge stand alone beach reached by walking through the dunes. A few umbrellas and sunbeds to hire, otherwise take your own as it was very hot! Definitely worth a...More

We took a trip out here and it was worth it. It was beautiful and quiet, had a few different restaurants on the beach. Definitely worth a visit. Younger crowd out here for sure. Just beautiful!

This was our first beach experience in Portugal. Nothing really worth mentioning other than it has a very long strip of beach so space will never be a problem. Doesn't have the same stunning views as others in Lagos in particular those with rock formations.

Lovely beach with lots of room for everyone. We parked in the football club carpark which cost €1 and there then was an easy boardwalk to the beach. The waves were big and strong the day we visited so not that suitable for young children,...More

we discovered this beach while meandering on the last morning while waiting for the train. The sand is clean, few shells and the rolling surf is fantastic. It is across the bridge from Lagos itself but very much worth the short trek, on level ground...More

Can you advise if any parts of this beach are accessible by wheelchair? I understand there is a boardwalk but not sure if suitable for wheelchair? Are there paths to the beach from Lagos or is it via the road?

Most of the beach has car parks and cafes and restaurants. I'm not too sure if a wheelchair can use the beach as the boardwalks are short and the sand soft away from the tide. It may be best if you check with the Lagos... More

There is a bus that serves that area, you just have to ask for the timetable. Also the little train, and it is walking distance from the town center, depending which part of Meia praia you are and considering it is a 3 miles... More
