About Kayak Adventures
The Algarve region of Portugal is an ideal location for holidaymakers to spend a weekend or holiday. Kayaking and snorkeling are two of the most popular activities in this beach-abundant area of the world. We paddle with kayak lovers out on a stretch of the Atlantic Ocean, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of the scenery around you. This section of Portugal is famous for its ancient caves and grottoes, and we allow you and your fellow travellers to explore these wonders firsthand. You will be able to paddle through fascinating rock formations, observing their every detail in a way that would be impossible if you were travelling on a boat. On the beach we provide snorkel equipment to make your Kayak & Snorkel Trip an even better experience. There is no rush, we normally stay at least half an hour at the beach swimming, snorkeling, relaxing and chatting. Whether you’re an experienced kayaker or are new to paddling, we encourage you to join in on our kayak adventures. An experienced guide leads every group excursion and will be glad to keep an eye on you and answer any questions you may have. The guide is well up to date with the local wind, tidal and current conditions.

Overview
See more of The Algarve than you would from the deck of a boat during a kayak excursion from Lagos—suitable for both beginner and advanced kayakers. Exploring by kayak means you’ll have access to off-the-beaten-path locations, including Praia Dona Ana beach and remote grottoes, that you won’t have to share with crowds. Plus, a motorized boat follows the group to ensure everyone stays safe and secure.

The trip was wonderful, but without the amazing Staff it would not have been half as good. These guys ( Ricardo, Ricardo & Umberto) are so funny, open and have also a lot of Knowledge as Locals according to the history of Caves during the Kayak tour. Even for total beginners this is doable. We enjoyed it a lot and we will definitely come back and suggest our friends and family to just go on a tour with Kayak Adventures. Big compliment for this all in all amazing experience that this companies crew is creating.

Great experience ! The staff in general and our guide, Marius, were all super welcoming, friendly and professional. My friend felt seasick and was very quickly and efficiently taken back to the shore. Everything’s safe and very well managed. Couldn’t recommend any other company for a kayak trip . Thanks again!

I myself hadn’t done Kayaking in about 10 years so it took me some time to get into the swing of things but you do pick it up very quickly. They do provide you with waterproof bags if you want to take your phone for taking photos. The caves are almost surreal! They all have different names and look different too. If you’re lucky you’ll spot some baby crabs and starfish on your tour. I much prefer kayaking to the boat tours as you can really get your own personal experience of the caves tour. Our instructor Guia was very friendly and explained the caves and the rest of the tour very well even though he claimed his English was not the best. He was also funny making jokes about some of the meanings of the caves. I should also mention this does work up an appetite so have a place in mind for food afterwards 😂
