Pedro and his team gave us a fantastic trip. Despite conditions initially not looking good due to poor visability we quickly found the pod of 40 false killer whales that had been seen by the spotters. Then Pedro and Nacho used the hydrophone and found sperm whales after a long hunt. We saw a small sperm whale breach and then... More

On the day that we went out, the crew had not spotted a whale so far. They were completely honest and open with us and told us the chances of seeing one were very very slim. They even offered to cancel the tour if we wanted - of course free of charge. They did see some dolphins though and we... More

We went on 3 whale watching trips when we were in the Azores. This was by far the best. We started with a briefing that was incredibly informative. then out on a rib, accompanied by a marine biologist. We were unlucky on the north side of the island, but not daunted, we sped to the south where we had very... More

Once in the Azores we could not miss the cetaceans spotting boat trip. Azores Experiences provided us a professional and entertaining service. It called my attention their concern in avoiding disturbing the animals in their own environment. Booking was easy. First, I wrote them emails requesting information, which were timely responded to. No advance payment was necessary. The meeting point... More

Responsible organisation; animals come first ! If they have no confirmation from their observers they don't leave and you can rebook or cancell the trip. Thanks to Pedro and his team

We had booked a swimming with dolphins trip but, thanks to the work of the spotters, we ended up seeing a pod of sperm whales as well. When we arrived I mentioned that we'd been on a whale watching trip on Sao Miguel but had not seen any whales, so when their spotters found sperm whales, the skipper Pedro asked... More

We had so much fun just on the boat! Saw a fin whale, sea turtle and loads of Dolphins. The day we went the weather was bad, the ocean was rough, and we had to cut the trip short due to one of the passengers becoming extremely ill, but we still saw what we came to see! The boat allows... More

Pedro and his enthusiastic and knowledgeable crew run excellent whale and dolphin watching trips from Horta. We went out on 3 trips and saw a total of 9 cetacean species which underlines the mind-boggling diversity of the Atlantic off the Azores at this time of year. Their boat Risso is a fast rib which provides an adventurous platform as you... More
